North Central Region

Greetings colleagues, I look forward to visiting with some of you in Albuquerque, New Mexico at our upcoming SAFN national convention.

First, as my term as the North Central Region Director comes to an end, I would like to thank everyone for their support for the last six years. It has been an honor to serve in this position.   At the national meeting we will transition our newly elected leaders into their various positions. The email for this position is northcentraldirector@safn.org – so please begin or continue to communicate with the new regional director using that email.

One of the topics for our regional meeting in Albuquerque will be planning a regional get-together in 2024. We had a tri-regional meeting with Northeast and East Central last year in Dayton, Ohio. It was a very successful event. Our regional meeting can be as formal or informal as we desire. We can also get a sense of what the other regions are planning. If you have any suggestions or ideas about our next regional meeting and are not attending the Albuquerque meeting please let me know your thoughts by emailing northcentraldirector@safn.org

Additionally, I have five large photo albums from previous North Central Region meetings. I would like to pass them to someone for safekeeping. I brought them to the Dayton meeting and a few people looked at them. They are 12 X 12 inches and so they would be difficult to digitalize and post. What do you think their future should be? Let me know what you think.

The deadline for Rendezvous input is 30 days following the national meeting. The Rendezvous editor, Betty Andrews, needs our input by approximately 13 November – so please get your pictures and written word to the northcentraldirector@safn.org mailbox by 1 November.
