Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts
Welcome to our site! I’m very excited to represent you as the region’s director. Let’s start with a bit of background about me. On 1 August 2010, I retired after 30 years of active duty (AD). My last position was Deputy Command Surgeon and Command Nurse of the United States Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein AB, Germany. My AD career took me on 13 assignments to 11 different installations; one of the assignments was with the Army and four were overseas! Since retirement, I’ve worked a bit but mostly have volunteered with the USO and American Red Cross. My husband, Dennis, and I moved back from Germany in February 2015 to the Hanscom AFB, MA, area. So after 7.5 years in Europe, we’re getting readjusted to the USA.
I have such fond memories of my military colleagues and the friends I made while serving in the Air Force. I know I don’t want to lose contact with them and hope you don’t either. SAFN provides a way to keep in contact as well as help prior AF nurses who need support. I plan to continue caring and sharing. Will you come along with us?
